Why can't we have VBS on Saturday, too?

 

Yay!  I am FINALLY getting the VBS update on the blog!  We had such a fun week of VBS here.  The missioaries did a great job planning and preparing everything for the entire week.  The theme was "Victory."  Each day they talked about how to get victory in Christ. 

 

19 kids accepted Christ as their Saviour throughout the week. 

 

Romans 10:13

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

 

Please continue to pray for these kids.  Pray that what they did was real and that if it wasn't God would continue to deal with their heart for salvation!  Pray for the parents as well. 

 

 People in Moldova don't have easy lives.

If you look at them, they seem hopeless... but when you meet

one who has Christ as their Saviour, there is joy in their eyes!

Christ can change lives in Moldova!

 We saw that in the way he worked through the children during VBS.

 One thing that happened that was really interesting...

There were two grand prizes.  Both were scooters, but one was a neon green scooter that really stood out!  Every day, the leaders would bring the scooters out and show them to the kids, making a big deal out of them, so the kids would be encouraged to work hard to try to win the scooter. Well, in the middle of the week, someone broke into the church and stole the neon green scooter. 

 

The next day, the leaders started praying that God would bring the scooter back.  They told the kids that God knew who took it and that they were praying he would bring it back.

 

A day or two later, someone spotted a girl riding the scooter.  The leaders went to her house and talked to her mom.  As it turns out, the girls who had taken the scooter, had left it out, and someone stole it from her.  So the very last day of VBS, right before the awards ceremony, the little girl who had originally taken the scooter came running down the hill to the church.  She had spotted the person who stole it from her.  The leaders went up the hill and came back with the scooter!  God did bring back the scooter!  God does answer prayer!
